This style allows your roots to rock out while maintaining a gorgeous blonde head of hair that will last you months! If you need a little pick-me-up, schedule a gloss to tone your color to your preferred shade as needed! Typically, a gloss lasts for about 4-6 weeks. Piece of cake.
What to know when getting a balayage:
Balayage is a very natural and seamless look. If you like chunky or big segmented highlights, this look may not be for you! When consulting with your stylist, be sure to be completely open and honest about your likes, dislikes, and complete hair history.
Always bring multiple photos of what you're looking for! Photo sharing platforms like Pinterest are great for aesthetics, but in reality, they can be heavily altered and stray far from what the actual head of hair looks like in person.
You will probably want to get a gloss. This is not always the case, however most people opt for a specific shade or tone of blonde. Especially if your hair has prior color on it, you may need a gloss to make the blonde strands more evenly toned. Those beautiful ashy or caramel locks you see people walking around with are the results of glosses or toners. ;)
