“The Dig Pink® Rally is The Side-Out Foundation’s October event that brings together volleyball players across the nation to raise funds for breast cancer research, demonstrate the power of teamwork and show support for people with the disease.”
Have you been to salon evolve during the month of march and noticed shamrocks around stations?
All of march, Salon evolve is raising money for a charity that has helped one of our fellow clients. The side-out foundation was created by the founders of dig pink! The side-out foundation was created with teams of the volleyball community in mind making it a charitable group for volleyballs teams to contribute to! Side-out in volleyball means to regain control of the ball. In this charitable group it means to help breast cancer survivors and victims to regain control of their life. This charitable group created it with inspiration of science and hope in finding a cure, recover and regain control of their lives!
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women, with over 200,000 new cases a year. There is a 12% chance a US woman will be diagnosed with breast cancer. That percentage equals to 1 in 8 women. Breast cancer is a treatable cancer if caught early enough and because of that, there are now over 3 million breast cancer survivors.
It’s charitable groups like The side-out foundation that can bring life back to breast cancer survivors and help stop future diagnosis’s. If you would like to donate to the side-out foundation, stop into salon evolve and donate! Or visit the side-out.org website! All contributions are going straight to this foundation!
